About Ties - Tie Types
•
Ties are a versatile accessory that can elevate both
men's and women's outfits and or Uniforms.
Here's a breakdown of the different types of ties:
•
Classic Necktie:
The most common type of tie, the necktie is a long piece
of fabric that is knotted at the collar.
•
Bow Tie:
A formal wear staple, the bow tie is a self-tying closure that creates
a bow shape at the collar.
•
Ascot Tie:
A wider and more formal necktie, the ascot Tie
is often paired with formal wear
and special occasions.
•
Cravat:
The ancestor of the modern necktie,
the cravat is a wide piece of lace or fabric that is wrapped
around the neck and tied in a knot.
While not as common today, it can add a historical
or vintage touch to an outfit.
•
Bolo Ties is in essence a Bandana:
A western-style necktie,
the bolo tie consists of a decorative clasp or slide that secures
a cord or string in place around the neck.
•
Skinny Tie:
A narrower version of the classic necktie, the skinny tie was popularized in the
1950s and 60s and remains a stylish choice today.
•
Bobby knot ties:
A bobby knot tie is a pre-tied necktie designed specifically for children.
They are convenient and easy for kids to wear,
often featuring fun colors and patterns.
•
Ladies Ties
are a stylish way to add sophistication and individuality to an outfit.
They come in a variety of types, materials, and colors to suit any taste.
•
Classic Necktie:
Just like their counterparts for men,
classic neckties are a staple for ladies' formal wear.
Made from luxurious fabrics like silk or satin,
they come in a variety of colors and patterns.
•
Pussy-bow Tie:
Traditionally a Pussy Bow tie is attached to a blouse instead of a collar.
It can however be made and worn as a separate Tie
tied into a Pussy Bow
•
Ladies Cravat:
For a vintage-inspired look, a cravat can add a touch of historical flair.
Cravats are typically wider than neckties and made from lace or soft fabric
that is easy to be knotted into a Cravat.

About Pashminas
•
Pashmina Scarves often referred to as Shawls
•
Pashminas are luxuriously soft scarves or shawls
traditionally made from cashmere wool.
Pashmina comes from the Persian word "pashm" which means "fine wool."
Cashmere wool comes from the undercoat of goats
native to the Kashmir region of the Himalayas,
in India, Nepal, and China.
•
Pashmina scarf shawl:
These scarves or shawls are known for their softness,
warmth, and beautiful drape.
They can be worn in a variety of ways,
such as around the neck, as a head wrap,
or even as a blanket.
Pashminas are a popular fashion accessory
and can be dressed up or down.
Here are some things to keep in mind when shopping for a pashmina:
•
Look for a pashmina made from at least 55% wool and 45% Silk.
•
Pashminas typically come in a variety of sizes.
A standard size is about w65 x L175cm
•
Color and design:
Pashminas come in a wide variety of colors and designs.
•
Price: Cashmere is a luxurious material,
hence, pashminas can be expensive.
Pashmina goats, also known as Changthangi goats,
are a special breed of domesticated goat
native to the high-altitude regions of the Himalayas,
particularly in the Changthang plateau of Ladakh,
India and surrounding areas.
•
These hardy animals are famous for their luxurious
and incredibly fine wool fibres,
widely known as cashmere.
Pashmina goats are well-adapted to their harsh environment.
They can survive in temperatures that plunge to below freezing
and on sparse vegetation that grows in the region.
•
Their thick coats consist of two layers:
A coarse outer coat that protects them from the harsh elements.
•
A soft, downy undercoat, which is the
source of the prized pashmina wool.
The pashmina undercoat is incredibly fine,
with fibers that are much thinner than human hair.
This fine fiber is what gives cashmere its luxurious feel and unmatched warmth.
Traditionally, the pashmina wool is collected by gently combing the goats
in the spring when they naturally shed their winter coat.
Shearing is not used as it can damage the delicate fibers
and mix the coarse outer hair with the fine undercoat.
•
The collected pashmina fibers are then sorted,
cleaned, and spun into yarn by skilled artisans.
This yarn is then used to weave the world-famous pashmina
shawls and other luxurious textiles.
•
Pashmina shawls are known for their exceptional softness,
warmth, and lightweight nature.
Pashmina goats play a significant role in the economy
and cultural heritage of the Himalayan regions.
The production of pashmina wool provides a vital
source of income for many rural communities.

• Pongee & Satin Scarves Printed (single layer) • Description
•
Pongee is luxuriously soft flowing
and
light weight.
Ideal as a Uniform accesory item.
•
Satin in slightly heavier, hence warmer fabric.
But as soft and flowy as Pongee.
•
These Scarves are easy to print.
This is a digital dye sublimated print, which means there are literally no
restrictions as to what we can/cannot print.
•
We do require Vector generated artwork.
The print is however only visible on one side.
We recommend the Double (see below) Scarf
to ensure an over visible print.
•
Satin: Satin is a weave, not a specific material.
It can be woven from various fibers like silk, polyester, or nylon.
The weave creates a smooth, glossy surface on the fabric.
•
Pongee: Pongee is a fabric traditionally made from wild silk,
but nowadays it can also be made from other natural fibers
like cotton, linen, or wool. It has a slubby texture, meaning the yarns are uneven in thickness,
creating a slightly rough feel.
•
Appearance:
Satin has a smooth, lustrous surface with a high shine.
It comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns.
•
Pongee has a more matte appearance compared to satin.
It has a natural, slightly rough texture and a subtle sheen.
Pongee also tends to have a more muted color range,
often featuring natural tones like beige, cream, and brown.
•
Satin or Pongee Scarves characteristics:
•
Luxurious look and feel: The combination of pongee silk and the satin weave
gives these scarves a beautiful drape and a lustrous sheen,
making them look and feel incredibly luxurious.
•
Versatility: Satin pongee scarves can be dressed up or down,
making them perfect for a variety of occasions.
They can be worn with a casual outfit for a touch of elegance,
or with a more formal outfit for a sophisticated look.
•
Durability: Pongee silk is a relatively durable fabric, especially for a silk,
and the satin weave adds to its strength.
With proper care, a satin pongee scarf can last for many years.
•
Breathability: Pongee silk is a breathable fabric.
Pongee
scarves are comfortable
to wear in warm weather.
•
Satin and Pongee Scarves are popular favourites for everyday wear.
Due to their customizable properties they are popular Uniform Scarves.
•
